FAQ

Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about Tiefenbacher Group, how we work, and what to expect from our application process. Still have questions? Feel free to reach out, we’re happy to help.

Our recruitment process includes two interviews. The first interview will be conducted by HR and the department head. If your application makes it to the second interview stage, the interview will take place with the department head and at least one member of the board.

Please upload your complete documents in our recruiting portal.

Your application should include a letter of motivation, a CV (resume), and any relevant supporting documents.

Letter of Motivation
Your motivation letter is your opportunity to introduce yourself and explain why you are a great fit — both for the position and for Tiefenbacher Group.
Clearly describe your motivation and interest in the company, highlight your relevant qualifications, and connect your previous experience to the job requirements. Keep it concise — ideally no longer than one page — and address it to the HR Business Partner responsible for the position.

CV (Resume)
Your CV should be well-structured, clear, and focused on relevant information. Avoid general sections like “Skills Summary” or “Objectives,” and instead use the space to explain your specific responsibilities and achievements in previous roles. List your work experience and education in chronological order, starting with the most recent position, including month and year for each entry.
If you have gaps in your CV, that’s perfectly fine — simply explain them briefly (e.g., childcare, sabbatical, further education).
Limit your CV to two pages in a clear, professional font (e.g., Arial or Times New Roman, 11pt).

Additional Documents
Please include copies of degrees, certificates, and transcripts.
If you have worked in Germany, attach employer references for each relevant position. For international applicants, you may instead provide reference contact details of people who can speak on your behalf.

We look at the overall qualification for the job as well as at relevant work experience. Good English speaking and writing skills are required for most jobs at Tiefenbacher whereas other language skills are considered as an asset. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for our business, enjoy working in a small-sized business with flat hierarchies and are not afraid to take on new challenges.

Yes, once we have received your application an automated message will be sent to you confirming the receipt of your documents. Please refrain from calling our office to receive confirmation.

We try our very best to get back to you as soon as possible; however, due the large amount of applications and our two-step interview process, it may take some time to provide you with feedback. We appreciate your patience!

We understand that great talents are spread around the world. We are happy to conduct the first interview as a video call. However, please ensure that you have a speedy internet connection, a functioning webcam, and microphone.

The second interview will always be conducted in person.

Yes, you can! Please roughly describe in your cover letter for which departments you would like to be considered (e.g. R&D, QA, Key Account Management etc.).
